Security measures at airports can vary significantly, leading to confusion for travelers. 

This guide aims to provide insights into the security standards at Incheon Airport, South Korea, ensuring a smooth journey.

1. Liquids:
Many passengers attempt to pass through airport security with bottled water. However, even transparent water bottles are not allowed if they contain water. Filling tumblers at the gate is also not permitted.
Empty water bottles are acceptable.
Incheon Airport provides drinking fountains near the gates.

Exception: 

Children under 7 years old are allowed water.

+Shampoo and Pomade Wax:
Liquids exceeding 100ml in containers are not allowed and may need to be disposed of. Consider sending them as checked luggage. 

 

2. Clothing and Accessories:
Incheon Airport conducts x-ray scans and searches if necessary.

Outerwear and hats must be removed.
Scarves and headphones are placed in a basket.
Pockets should be empty.
Belts and watches can remain.

Laptops and tablets must be removed from bags and placed separately.
